6 Eclipse-PiCo & E32 MVX
6.1 Important Information
Before attempting any upgrade, ensure that anti static precautions are taken, as the
Eclipse items are sensitive to static discharges.
At this time, the MVX software update process must be performed manually.
MVX card H8 application code must be updated on a single card at a time. Eclipse-
PiCo and E32 units have 2 such cards on the same PCB.
It is not possible to directly check the MVX H8 application version. This must be
done either by use of a terminal emulator such as TeraTerm or by using ECS to
query the matrix (See 6.4 Eclipse-PiCo/E-32 MVX Firmware Version Checking). It is
suggested that this check is carried out only once all MVX cards have been
upgraded.
