4.6 Eclipse-PiCo / E32 Configuration Card Application using S4 Driver
4.6.1 Required Equipment
1. PC with serial port or USB port and USB to serial cable.
2. Configured and working S4 Driver installation.
3. Appropriate .4kr file for Eclipse-PiCo / E32 Configuration Card application.
InstallCD\E-Pico E-32\710749Z – Application Code\710749Z.4kr
4. Serial cable for PC to Eclipse-PiCo / E32 interconnection.
• D9 to D9 serial cable for E32.
• .D9 to 3.5mm jack serial cable for Eclipse-PiCo.
4.6.2 Upgrade Steps
1. Install S4 driver application.
InstallCD \3rd_Party_Software\S4DRV\S4DRVWIN.EXE
2. Start S4 driver.
3. Select ‘Preferences -> Port Setup’ from the S4 main menu.
4. Configure the port as follows:
COM1:
(change to match a COM port present on the PC)
Baud Rate: 115200
Parity:
Even
Data Bits:
8
Stop Bits:
One

5. Connect the serial communications lead between the PC serial port and the
RS232 port on the front of the matrix.
