7.8 The uninstallhdlm Utility for Uninstalling HDLM
The
uninstallhdlm
utility uninstalls HDLM. If you execute the
uninstallhdlm
utility with the
-s
parameter specified, no dialog boxes will be displayed during an
unattended uninstallation.
7.8.1 Format
uninstallhdlm [-s [-r] [-w
work-folder
] | -h]
7.8.2 Parameters
-s [-r] [-w
work-folder
]
Executes an unattended uninstallation.
-r
Restarts the host after an uninstallation.
-w
work-folder
Specifies the folder to which
uninstallhdlm.log
and work files are
output. If the folder name to be specified includes space characters, enclose
the entire value within double quotation marks (
"
).
If you do not specify this parameter, the folder defined in the
TMP
or
TEMP
environment variable will be used.
-h
Displays the format of the
uninstallhdlm
utility.
If you execute the
uninstallhdlm
utility without any parameters specified, the
dialog boxes providing notes on uninstallation and indicating the completion of the
uninstallation will appear, as is the case when Dynamic Link Manager is uninstalled
from the Add/Remove Programs dialog box.
Note:
• After the
uninstallhdlm
utility has been executed and the host restarted,
the utility is automatically deleted.
• After executing the
uninstallhdlm
utility, check the messages output to
the command prompt and the
uninstallhdlm.log
file to make sure that
HDLM has been uninstalled. The
uninstallhdlm.log
file is output to the
folder defined in the
TMP
or
TEMP
environment variable or the folder
specified in the
-w
parameter.
• If you specify the
-r
parameter to restart the host, you cannot check the
result of HDLM uninstallation from the command prompt. After restarting
