State Information Output
The state information output is a NON-SAFETY-RELATED function.
The state information output is a function that informs the external devices (non safety-related devices) of the current
state of the SL-V. It does this using state information outputs 1 and 2. Two types of output modes are selectable:
(1) Normal mode
The SL-V informs the external devices of the current state of the SL-V through combinations of three outputs: ON/OFF on the
AUX output, ON/OFF on the state information output 1, and the number of pulses on state information output 2. Because of this
function, a PLC or similar non safety-related devices are able to get detailed information about the current state of the SL-V.
When the SL-V Configurator "SL-VH1S" is used, the ON/OFF width of the pulse can be changed.
(2) Simple mode
This mode is simple in that it just informs external, non-safety devices if the SL-V is in a lockout condition or muted. State information output
1 indicates whether or not the SL-V is in a lockout condition while state information output 2 indicates whether or not the SL-V is muted.
Available settings
The settings that can be changed from the SL-V device and the SL-VH1S software are as follows. (O: Setting possible -: Setting not possible)
The state information output is not allowed to be used as a safety output for safety-related control systems. Usage of
this function as a safety output may result in significant harm to the machine operators including injury or death.
