This section explains the settings other than the combination of automatic start and automatic reset mode.
Configuration
Wiring method (Pink wire on the transmitter)
SL-V can be set as the combination of manual start and manual reset mode through the wiring in the
following manner. If this function is set through the SL-VH1S, it cannot be set through the wiring.
Software method (SL-VH1S)
Refer to the "SL-VH1S User’s Manual".
Wiring
• When using a switch for reset input, use a switch rated at 24 V DC, 2 to 3 mA.
• If the power is turned on with an open circuit on the pink wire (interlock mode selection input), the SL-V
enters the I/O monitoring state.
See "I/O Monitoring Function" (page 2-50).
• If the power is turned on while the yellow wire (reset input) is turned on and the type of cable is incor-
rect, the SL-V goes to the lockout condition because of “interlock error”.
See "Troubleshooting" (page A-2).
• When the interlock is configured through the SL-VH1S, the pink wire on the transmitter must be insu-
lated from the external (keep open-circuit) because it is not needed if it is not used for other functions.
•
The interlock reset mechanisms (such as switches) must be installed so that the whole haz-
ardous zone can be checked by the responsible personnel and that operations of the inter-
lock reset mechanisms are not possible within the hazardous zone.
•
Be sure to confirm absolutely that there is nobody in the hazardous zone, before the inter-
lock is released by the interlock reset mechanism. Failure to follow this warning may result
in significant harm to the machine operators including injury or death.
