WELD HEAD INSTALLATION TO ADAPTER CABLE
The weld head cable connects to the adapter cable, except for the
Model 9-500 and Model 9-250 which plug into the power supply or exten-
sion cable using a pigtail. Insert the adapter cable GROUND, ELECTRODE,
and GAS connectors into the mating weld head cable connectors. Pull
back the collar of the female quick-disconnect fitting of the electrode and
ground connectors and twist the male connector into place.
Slide the rubber boots together (male boot should cover connec-
tion first) and secure them in place, being careful not to dislodge
the connectors. The boots protect the connectors and prevent
shorting to ground.
Remove dust covers from CONTROL cables, and insert the
adapter cable connector into the head connector. Tighten by
hand and screw dust caps together.
Pull back on the collar of the
female connector. Make con-
nection with collar pulled back.
