ADAPTER CABLE TO MODEL 307 INSTALLATION
The Model 307 Adapter Cable has a larger weld head motor connector
from those used on the Model 207 Adapter Cable. Thus an adapter (pig-
tail) is required to use the older 207/107 cables with the Model 307.
Adapter cables are not required for Model 9-500 or Model-250 which have
no provision for water cooling but a pigtail connector is required to plug
these heads into the power supply. The 307/Model 9 Adapter cable is
used with the other Model 9 and Model 8 weld heads which do have
provisions for water cooling. One end of the adapter cable connects to the
weld head. The other end connects to the Model 307 or to a weld head
extension cable. (Refer to figure above).
Always turn the power supply off before making any
cable or connection changes to the Model 307 power

that connections shown are for weld heads using the Model 307 Adapter Cable with the
optional water cooling unit (Model 307-CW). The Model 9-250 and Model 9-500 weld heads
plug into the power supply without the use of the adapter cable but require pigtails. The I.D.
purge connects directly to the flowmeter/regulator.
