When the Library Information for the tubes have been
entered the Weld Schedule Wizard - Finished
screen appears.
Touch the Tack Icon to generate the Orbital Tack Program.
The Weld Schedule Tacking Values screen provides options for orbital tack
welds. The amount of weld bead penetration is adjusted by moving the slide
switch and the percent of penetration is shown in the window. The number of
tacks can be changed from the keyboard. The Tacking Pattern can be
Sequential in which the tacks are done in order, or a Balanced pattern where
tacks are placed on opposite sides of the joint and then the electrode is moved
90° and the process repeated. The balanced procedure is done to minimize
distortion.
