T
he basic Model 307 orbital
welding power supply is part of a
complete welding system intend-
ed for autogenous welding of
metal tubes, pipes and fittings.
The complete system consists of
the Model 307, adapter cable
(when required), gas hoses, and
any of the AMI Model 9 series of
tube welding heads, the Model 8
series narrow weld heads, the
Model 4-500 bench-mount head,
or the M-96 fusion tube-to-
tubesheet welding head. The
Model 307 power supply pro-
vides GTAW current with pulsa-
tion controls, high-frequency arc
starting, purge gas controls,
weld head arc rotation, and
automatic timing functions. A source of input AC Power, regulated gas
source (usually argon), with a flow-meter must be supplied by the user.
Weight: 62 lbs (28 Kg)
Optional accessories include a Remote Operating Pendant (M-307-RP),
extension cables, and a water cooling unit (307-CW). Additional options
such as chart recorders and oxygen analyzers may be used with the
Model 307 as part of a Quality Assurance/Quality Control program. The
system can also be used as a manual welding power source using an
optional manual torch and a variable foot controller or foot switch.
POWER CONNECTION
The Model 307 input power requirements are from 100 to 240 VAC single
phase at 50/60 Hz. Maximum welding current output is 150 Amps. A 35
ampere service is required to obtain 150 Ampere output on 115 VAC. The
maximum 150 amperes is obtainable with 30 ampere service on 230
VAC. The Model 307 has an attached 15 foot (4.6m) Power Cable. All
