The Systems Tool window displays these settings:
Description Setting
The current state of the system definition (Connected or Disconnected). State
The label that identifies this Neoview platform. The system name can be up to 32 characters
in length, and can consist of letters, digits, and the underscore character. System Name
Specifies the name of the client-side or server-side data source. If no data source is specified,
or if the specified client-side data source cannot be found, the client connects to the default
server-side data source (TDM_Default_DataSource). Data Source
Your user name. User Name
The Neoview role (for example, ROLE.DBA) that was specified for the system definition.
If this field is not specified in the system definition, HPDM uses the default role for the
user. User Role
The DNS name or IP address for the target Neoview platform. Host
The ODBC server port number. Port Number
The default entry for the system (optional). Default Schema
The ODBC driver. DriverString
The button options for the Systems Tool are:
Function Button
Tests a selected system and displays the results in the Connection Test Result
dialog box. [ Test ] is enabled if one or more systems are selected. [ Test ]
Launches the Connect / Edit System dialog box with the selected systems’ current
settings. [ Edit ] is enabled if one or more systems are selected. [ Edit ]
Launches the Add System dialog box with blank settings, except for the port number
(which defaults to 18650). The ODBC driver defaults to 2.0. [ Add ] is always enabled. [ Add ]
Launches the Add System Like dialog box with the selected systems’ current
settings. You can use these settings as a starting point for adding a new system. [
Add Like ] is enabled if only one system is selected. [ Add Like ]
Launches the Confirm dialog box. [ Remove ] is enabled if one or more systems is
selected. [ Remove ]
Launches the Confirm dialog box. [ Disconnect ] is enabled if one or more systems
is selected. [ Disconnect ]
Closes the Systems Tool. [ Done ]
