▼ Remove a PCIe Card

Before you begin, complete these tasks:

Read the section,

“Safety Information” on page 59

.

Power off the server, using one of the methods described in the section,

“Powering

Off the System” on page 63

.

“Extend the Server to the Maintenance Position” on page 66

“Perform Electrostatic Discharge – Antistatic Prevention Measures” on page 69

“Remove the Top Cover” on page 69

Do the following :

1. Identify the PCIe card you want to remove.

2. Open the PCIe card latch.

3. Remove the PCIe card the system.

4. Place the PCIe card on an antistatic mat.

5. If you are not replacing the PCIe card, install a PCIe filler panel in its place.

6. Close the PCIe card latch.
