RS-232/RS-485 Converter
The following chart shows the default jumper settings for the RS-232/422 converter board.
Note: If using a tank monitor or Profit Point, be sure all jumpers are set to their default
settings.
POS Distribution Box (D-Box)
The following chart shows the default jumper settings for the POS D-Box.
Jumper Pin Function
1 & 2 Jumpered, slave side of 485 loop transmits; default
2 & 3 Jumpered, master side of 485 loop transmits
1 & 2 Jumpered, tank monitor or PC; default
2 & 3 Jumpered, other application if positions 1 & 2 do not work
Always jumpered
Jumpered, listens to slave responses or for PC monitor
Unjumpered, tank gauge; default
Jumpered, 232 device listens to master side of 485 loop; default
Jumper Function
Jumpered, supplies +12 volts to pin 4 at the scanner port
Unjumpered, disconnects pin 4 of the scanner port
Jumpered, supplies +5 volts to pin 9 of the scanner port
Unjumpered, disconnects pin 9 of the scanner port
Jumpered, supplies +12 volts to pin 4 of the customer display port
Unjumpered, disconnects pin 4 of the customer display port
Jumpered, supplies +5 volts to pin 9 of the customer display port
Unjumpered, disconnects pin 9 of the customer display port
