P (Pitch) Mode
The LS-7600 Series measures objects based on the middle point between the edges of
the objects in this mode.

Edge 0
Edge 0 refers to a method of measurement, in which the center of the optical axis is
used as an origin. In this case, set the edge number to 0.
Use this method to position targets or measure the movement or deviation of targets.
• Use edge 0 method if higher repetitive accuracy is required from the meas-
urement of objects.
• If DUAL is selected in the application function (page 5-68), when no meas-
uring target is in the beam axis, the number of edges becomes “0”.
In this example as shown, five P-mode edges
exist, based on the light and dark regions in the
measuring area.
