Group Processing
The LS-7600 Series calculates average values from measured data on groups of
workpieces. The average values are used to determine the measured values. Furthermore,
group values can be statistically processed.
Each workpiece within a group is measured by OUT1. The measured results of OUT1 are
processed by OUT2. The following measurement modes can be used for group processing.
Peak hold (P-HOLD), Bottom hold (B-HOLD), Peak-to-peak hold (D-HOLD), and Average
hold (AV-HOLD)
The following types of OUT1 measured values are used for group processing.
Group-processed OUT1 measured value
RUN mode
Normal, auto peak hold, auto bottom hold,
auto peak-to-peak hold
Measured values determined by
TIMING input.
Peak hold, bottom hold, peak-to-peak hold,
average hold, sample hold 1, sample hold 2
Measured values determined by
TIMING input.
Self-timing hold
Measured values determined by self-
timing.
Note:
Only the following functions of OUT2 are enabled with the group processing
function set.

All items
• External input, control panel key, zero input with RS-232C commands, and
timing input items are all disabled. RESET input is, however, enabled.
• If no measured values are determined by OUT1 (i.e., the display is
“---.-----”), no group processing will be possible. The number will be counted.
This is reset when the program number is changed.
Refer to Timing Chart on page 7-14 for the operating timing group discrimination.
Refer to page 5-63 for group processing settings.
