Application Function
The application mode consists of the drill function and the dual head function.
Drill Function
The drill function can measure the external diameters of objects, such as drills or gears
with odd-numbered teeth. The diameter of the circumscribed circle made by the turning
object is measured.

Operation Method

Set the APP-MODE to DRILL. (See page 5-64)

Set the AVERAGE and MEA-MODE output settings for OUT1 according to the
target. (See page 5-31, 5-33)

Measure the object.
The object must make at least one turn and measure the diameter in a timely man-
ner. Refer to Peak Hold on page 5-36 or 7-11 or Auto Peak Hold on page 5-37 or 7-
11 for the timing chart.

The measurement result of the diameter is displayed and output as OUT1.
