Displaying Port Statistics

To display Ethernet port statistics, perform the following procedure:

1. From the Main Menu, type 7 to select Ethernet Statistics.

The Ethernet Statistics menu is shown in Figure 61.

2. From the Ethernet Statistics menu, type 1 to select Display Port

Statistics.

A window is displayed containing the statistics for each port. The
information in this window is for viewing purposes only. The
statistics are defined below:

Total Count (TOTAL_COUNT)
Number of bytes received and transmitted on the port.

Transmit Packets (TX_COUNT)
Number of bytes transmitted out the port.

Received Packets (RX_COUNT)
Number of bytes received on the port.

Received Broadcast (RX_BRDCAST)
Number of broadcast packets received on the port.

Received Multicast (RX_MLTCAST)
Number of multicast packets received on the port.

Received Unicast (RX_UNICAST)
Number of unicast packets received on the port.

Received Overflow (RX_OVERFLOW)
Number of times the capacity of the port’s buffer has been
exceeded.
