INTRODUCTION
Ranging of the RTD and Thermocouple is automatic. The process input is
isolated from the rest of the instrument. A 24V dc transmitter power supply is
provided for use with a two-wire mA dc input on both process and remote set-
point inputs.
When the controller is equipped with an option card, RS-485 communication
capability is provided via either a 2-wire or 4-wire bus. This feature supports
communication with a host device such as a personal computer or MODCELL
Multiloop Processor using the Extended Modbus Protocol. All information
pertaining to Modbus communication is provided in the MODBUS
Communications Supplement IB-23C650M.
