RAMP/SOAK OPERATION

If the skipped segment is the last segment in the profile and the cycle is
configured to repeat, the skip returns the profile to the start of the first
segment. This action is the same as a reset except that cycle number is
not changed. The controller responds in the manner described for a
reset.

If the skipped segment is the last segment in the profile and the cycle is
not configured to repeat, the skip stops the cycle and the segment status
display appears showing the cycle has ended [ 0M 0 ]. Control is
immediately switched to the local set-point. A new cycle can be started
by selecting RUN at the beginning of the ramp/soak display sequence.

When the controller is in mnual or ramp/soak is on hold, segments can be
skipped but there is no affect on operation until the profile is restarted. If one
or more segments have been skipped while the profile is not running, the
profile starts on the new current segment.

If a skip is not required, scroll past the skip prompt and into the displays
menu.

Relays A, B and C Indicating Ramp/Soak Segments

Relays A, B, and C can be set up in the RELAYS MENU as event relays for
ramp/soak segments. Each of the 10 ramp/soak segments can be configured
in the RAMP/SOAK MENU to trip relay A, B, or C. For example, Relay A
could be used to indicate the state (on or off) of ramp/soak segments 1, 3, 4,
and 6. Similarly, all three relays can be set up to specify which segment is
on. For example, relays A and B on and Relay C off could indicate that
ramp/soak segment 3 is on.

Repeat

The repeat function permits a ramp/soak profile to be repeated automatically
without operator intervention. The ramp/soak repeat prompt [RAMPSOAK]
[REPEAT] is in the RAMPSOAK MENU. No repeat causes the profile to turn
off after the last segment is completed; control continues in automatic with the
ending set-point from the profile. When the repeat function is selected, the
entire profile is repeated each time the last segment ends. The new cycle
starts whenever the process variable is within the hysteresis bandwidth for
segment 1.
