DESCRIPTION
The MODCELL 2050R and 2051R indicating controllers are microprocessor-
based 3x6 instruments that can display and control process variables such as
temperature, pressure, liquid level, or flow. Control capabilities include:
current and time proportioning control, on/off control, heat/cool control,
position feedback control, ramp/soak profiling of the control set-point, and P,
PI, or full PID control responses. A second set of P and I tuning constants is
provided when dual output control (heat/cool) is selected.
The functional capabilities of the 2050R and 2051R are identical. The bezel
width of the 2051R is slightly smaller than the 2050R bezel width permitting
the 2051R to be used as a replacement controller for the Foxboro 62H and
SPEC 200 controllers.
Instrument setup is accomplished via easy-to-read English prompts and
operator push buttons located on the front display. The process input is user
selectable for direct connection of either Thermocouple, RTD, slide wire, mV
dc, V dc, or mA dc input. Linearization is user selectable to both process and
remote set-point input and may be square root or none. A nonvolatile RAM
memory stores configuration data and has a typical data retention of 10 years.
