BASIC OPERATION

If the digital input action is configured to be REVERSE, a closed contact will
be treated as an open contact and vice versa.

Note:

Unless “A/M key lockout” is enabled in the DIG INPT MENU, the
controller mode can be changed at the front panel regardless of the
digital input state, causing possible conflict.

To effect auto/manual transfer using digital inputs, complete the following
steps:

1.

In the DIG INPT MENU, enable “auto/man” as the digital input function of
the digital input to be used for auto/manual transfer.

2.

Select whether a fixed output value will be used when switching from auto
to manual mode, whether the front panel is locked out from changing
control mode, and whether the digital input can be used to switch only
from auto to manual or from auto to manual and from manual to auto.

3.

Enable the digital input in the DISPLAYS MENU.

Once enabled, the digital input can be used for auto/manual transfer.

Local/Remote and Multiple Set-point Selection Using Digital
Inputs

Either of the two digital inputs can be used to select between two set-points or
between a local and a remote set-point. Both digital inputs can be used to
select between four set-points or between three local set-points and a remote
set-point. The set-points between which the digital input(s) will select must be
enabled in the SETPTS MENU. Remote set-point requires the option board.

Set-point selection can be configured to lock out front panel selection of the
active set-point and to allow selection between local and remote set-points or
only between local set-points. To switch between local and remote, Input 2
must be enabled in the BASE CFG MENU. If the digital input action
REVERSE, a closed contact is treated as an open contact and vice versa.

Note:

Unless “R/L key lockout” is enabled in the DIG INPT MENU, the set-
point can be changed at the front panel regardless of the digital input
state, causing possible conflict.

To select the set-points using one digital input, complete the following steps:

1.

In the DIG INPT MENU, enable “set-point select“ as the digital input
function of the digital input to be used for set-point transfer.
