RAMP/SOAK OPERATION
OPERATION IN AUTOMATIC
The ramp/soak sequence is initiated and monitored in the DISPLAYS MENU
where the instrument display appears similar to the example below. To
access Autotune or remote set-point capabilities, the ramp/soak profile must
be turned off. If tune or configuration passwords were configured in the BASE
CFG MENU, these codes are required to initiate a reset or segment skip.
Also, if a ramp soak profile is on hold and the set-point is not local, the profile
cannot be put into run. You must return to the local set-point to get the arrows
to change the profile status.
Press
UP
to place the controller into
the ramp/soak routine
The profile status is displayed as either
in [HOLD] or in [RUN]. Press
UP
to
place ramp/soak in run, or press
DN
to
place ramp/soak in hold.
Scroll to view other ramp/soak data
such as time remaining, time base, and
active segment number (next figure).
Scroll again to get cycle number in the
lower engineering display, and to
enable a cycle reset and segment skip.
Scroll after [SKIP] to exit the
ramp/soak profile sequence and display
the current set-point, then controller
output in percent.
The middle status display alternates
between [LOC] and [RSH] until you
scroll to the beginning of the ramp/soak
sequence and return to the profile
[RUN] state.
