BASIC OPERATION
Up ( UP ): Used in the configuration mode to answer prompts
by toggling between YES and NO or other option,
and to increment values where applicable. Also used
in the DISPLAYS MENU to ramp up the set-point or
output variable, whichever was selected or to
acknowledge alarms.
Down ( DN ): Used in the configuration mode to answer
prompts by toggling between YES and NO or
other options, and to decrement values where
applicable. Also used in the DISPLAYS MENU
to ramp down the set-point or output variable,
whichever was selected.
ENGINEERING DISPLAYS
The top, middle and bottom engineering displays are composed of eight
characters, each character having fourteen segments. Each character can
produce the characters listed in the Tag Name field of the Tune Menu.
Top: Tag Display
Indicates the loop tag and is
configured in the TUNE
MENU.
Example: [LIC-1202].
Middle: Process Variable Display
Indicates the process value
in engineering units and may
also include the engineering
units label.
Example: [102 H2O]. As the
engineering value consumes
digits towards the right the
engineering units label will
push to the right and
disappear.
