14 Profit Point Installation Menu appears again.
15 Press 9 on the numeric keypad “Exit to OS” and then press Enter.
16 Do not remove the Profit Point CD-ROM disk.
17 The message, “Yes, I want to restart your computer now” appears. Click Finish or press
Enter. This message appears for few seconds.
18 Wait for the Profit Point main screen to load. The Profit Point main window displays the
message, “Yes, I want to start my computer now”. The task bar icon will not be available for
the “restart” screen.
19 Profit Point main screen appears.
• Press Clear Menu on the Profit Point keyboard. Turn the manager key “Off” and “On” to
continue.
• Press Esc, if a standard PC101 type (QWERTY) keyboard is being used.
20 To close the Profit Point software, proceed as follows:
On a Standard Profit Point Keyboard
a Press 0.
b Press SPEC FUNC to bring up the message box “Exit to Main Menu” and press Enter.
c Gasboy Profit Point Main Menu screen appears, press 0 “Exit to OS” and press Enter to
close the Profit Point session.
On a Standard 104 Keyboard
a Press 0 on the numeric keypad.
b Press F11 to bring up a message box “Exit to Main Menu” press Enter.
c Gasboy Profit Point Main Menu screen appears, press 0 “Exit to OS” and press Enter to
close the Profit Point session.
Notes: If the message, “Unable to connect to site controller” appear, proceed as follows:
1) Press Enter to continue. The Gasboy Profit Point Main Menu appears.
2) Press 4 and Enter. The Configuration Menu appears. Press 4 and Enter.
3) The Hardware configuration Submenu. Ensure that item 5 “Profit Point type” is set
for “Modular, site on COM1”. This is the mostly likely cause of this message. This
can occur if the POS backup disk was for an Integral Profit Point instead of a
Modular Profit Point.
The message, “Yes, I want to restart my computer now” appears.
