Installing the Windows XPE OS Image Installation
10 Wait, allow the reimage process to complete the final tasks. Wait for the hard drive and
CD-ROM lights to quit flashing completely.
11 Remove the “CFN III/Profit Point OS (Windows XPE Image)” CD-ROM.
12 Press Ctrl, Alt, and Del will restart the SC3 tower with the new Windows XPE image.
Note: Do not attempt to sign in as the Windows XPE administrator by holding down the Shift
key, when performing the following steps.
Correcting the BIOS First Boot Device Back to Original Setting
13 Press Delete in the DOS window before the Windows logo screen appear. Repeat e to j in the
“Close All PC Loop Applications and Then the SC3 Window Last” section on page 29 and
change the “First Boot Device” back to “C, A, SCSI” or a selection that does not allow another
CD-ROM reimage. Save the changes for “First Boot Device” and exit the BIOS setup.
14 Windows XPE will automatically boot into the “Gasboy User” displaying blue background
“Desktop Screen” and a “My Computer” icon at the top left corner.
Initial Setup of Windows XPE
15 A number of pop-up message boxes will appear center screen followed by a number of “New
Hardware Found” at the bottom right of the monitor. Do not interrupt this process.
16 Wait for a center screen “Systems Settings Change” window to appear.
17 Wait for the hard drive light to quit flashing. Let Windows XPE complete the final installation
tasks before proceeding. This will take at least 1 minute.
18 Then, click Yes in the “Systems Settings Change” window message box that reads, “Do you
want to restart your computer now?” or press Enter.
Verifying the Hardware Found
19 Again a number of message boxes will flash in the center of the screen. This is normal.
However there must not be any new messages boxes “New hardware Found” displayed.
20 Windows XPE will again automatically boot into the “Gasboy User” displaying blue
background “Desktop Screen” and a “My Computer” icon at the top left corner.
21 Wait for Windows XPE to completely load and the hard drive light to stop flashing. Do not
interrupt this process.
