Print a CFN III Configuration Report
If a logger printer is connected to the CFN III, this task can be completed before the site is
closed. To print the CFN III Configuration report, proceed as follows:
1 Sign on to the CFN III.
2 Enter the command “CONFIG”.
3 This command will ask you to if you want to continue and if the printer is online and has
paper. Answer “Yes” to the questions.
A complete printout of the CFN III configuration will be taken.
If the transactions are printing correctly but the “CONFIG” command output becomes garbled,
then it may be caused by the incorrect printer switch settings. To repair this error, proceed as
follows:
1 There is a cover on the back of the printer secured by a single small Phillips ® screw. Remove
the cover and set the two switch packs inside as follows.
• SW1 switch position 1 - 8 ON, except position 4. Set switch position 4 to OFF.
• SW2 switch position 1 - 8 ON, except positions 1, 6, and 8. Set switch positions 1, 6, and
8 to OFF.
2 Turn off the printer, wait for 10 seconds, and turn it on.
3 Select “Pitch 17”.
4 Return the printer to Online mode by pressing the Select button. The green light next to this
switch must turn on.
5 Re-enter the “CONFIG” command. It must work correctly now.
