Notes: 1) Refer to Chapter 4 of MDE-4773 CFN III Configuration Manual for Windows XP
for more information.
2) If the previous CFN III software version was version 3.4 or earlier, Fix_Conf may
not perform as expected. If you, as advised used the “Config” command and
made a printed copy of the entire CFN III configuration, it is highly advised you
carefully go over the entire configuration before installing. Run the programs
Sys_par, Reader, Pump, Table, and Console at a minimum. Failure to do so could
cause the CFN III system to boot abnormally or not all. In the event serious
issues arise then the default Framos.cfg on the “Customer Disk” must be copied
into the C:\SC3 directory and all configurations for the CFN III must be loaded
individually.

Preparing for PCI Security.
Use the following checklist to prepare the required items:
During the initial install of PCI-complaint software you will no longer be able to log on with the original users and
passwords.
If you have not done so, you must be familiar with the programs, ADMPASS and SECURITY in
on
You must know who is the authorized PCI delegate for this site/customer.
You must have determined what the initial technician user and password. The technician password must be a level
10 to complete the installation process.
The technician user and password must be deleted by the site PCI delegate when the installation is complete and
fully checked out.
The site/customer’s PCI delegate is responsible for the loading of all user/passwords, the loading of the transaction
Master/Pass Keys, as well as deleting the technician password.
The site/customer PCI delegate is always the final authority for all user/password, the transaction Master/Pass Key,
and the backup disks for these passwords.
You must have two blank formatted diskettes to back up the transaction Master and Pass Keys. These cannot be
copied to the same disk.
When you have determined all of the above, contact Gasboy Technical Support at 1-800-444-5529.
