New PC Loop Application Kits

If the CFN III current version is 3.3H or later, it is advised that new PC Loop Applications Kits
be installed before the upgrade to Windows XPE and version 3.6 or later. This will allow any
issues that arise to be resolved, before the upgrade.

The following must be verified before installing the PC Loop Applications:

• Ensure that you have the installation manual(s) for the new kits to be installed, onsite.
• Ensure that you have read and understood the installation and setup requirements.
• Ensure that you have arrived with the necessary shielded wiring of sufficient length, if

current site wiring does not meet the new kit wiring specification.

• Installation of the new kits may require dispenser reprogramming or jumpers to be

correctly set. Ensure that the ASC doing the upgrade is qualified to perform the tasks for
the fueling points onsite.

• The ASC must ensure that the dispensers and card readers onsite are running the current

manufacturer’s software release versions before installing the new PC Loop Applications.
This may require additional parts or software not listed in this manual.

Floppy Disk Backup

recommended for all version 3.6 upgrades. The user must be logged on as “XP Administrator”

Verify the following before beginning the backup procedure:
