Installing Backup Files on Windows XPE Reimage
If this is an upgrade of the PCI-complaint software, proceed to step 44 .
35 If Profit Point software was installed, close the Profit Point window (refer to “Close the Profit
Point Window First (if installed)” on page 28 ).
36 Verify if the Profit Point (if installed) files were correctly copied. To copy the SC3 backup
files to their proper locations, proceed as follows:
a Right-click on Start and select Explore.
b Insert the SC3 floppy backup disk into the A: Drive.
c Copy Framos.cfg and Sysback.dta (optional Lookup.dta and Offroad.dta) to the C:\SC3
folder.
d If the POS, Shift Change package was being utilized, copy Day.fmt, Shift.fmt, and
Printrpt.cmd files to the C:\SC3\Bin folder.
e If the Profit Point software was installed and these files were not previously copied, then
copy Master.plu, Config.pos, and Key_lay.pos (optional Cust.dta and Patron.lst) to the
C:\POS folder. Copy Posexec.bat to the C:\Bin folder.
Note: The above restore of the backup file must be sufficient. However, if a customized
keyboard is used or a keyboard with 24 double-wide pump keys, the relative files from
the CD/Profit directory must be copied to the C:\POS directory. For more information
about the Profit Point, refer to MDE-4356 Profit Point Reference Manual.
f Copy the backed up XBIN directory to the C:\SC3\BIN, if PC Loop Application were
previously installed.
g Copy any other backed up “Custom Customer” command files back to their original
locations.
Fix_Conf, Tables, and Framos.cfg
37 Verify you can still sign on to the CFN III.
a Up to this point the memory of the SC3 board set must still be intact.
b All original users and password must still be valid.
c The SC3 window must be open. Make it the active window by clicking anywhere in the
window.
d Sign on with one of the original level 10 users and password.
38 Type Fix_Conf and press Enter. The Framos.cfg file must now load and then save
Framos.cfg.
