Trace Route Configuration
Trace Route Configuration
Trace Route is used to obtain the list of all hops identified between the
local port (AXS-200/850) and the destination IP port.
Press ,
select
Tools, Trace Route, and the Configuration tab.

IP Address: Enter the IP address of
the network device to be detected.
The accepted range for IPv4 is
0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255. The
default value is 0.0.0.0.
The acceptable range for IPv6 is
from
000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0
000:0001 to
FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF:FFFF.
When the IP Address field is
selected for editing, the Latest
IP’s button appears on the bottom
of the screen. Press the
corresponding function key to
display the list of previously
configured IP addresses. Select
the desired IP address from the
list, if any.

Timeout (ms): Enter the
maximum time allowed between an ICMP echo and response at each
hop. Choices are 200 ms to 10000 ms. The default setting is 4000 ms.

Max Hop Count: Enter the maximum network device the packet is
allowed to go through. Choices are 1 to 255. The default setting is 128.
