Ping Results

Status: Indicates the status of the attempt as follows:
Status Description
Successful Valid ICMP echo reply received.
Aborted When a user has manually stopped the Ping function
before the end of attempts.
Time Out When an ICMP echo reply was not received within the
defined timeout.
Dest. Invalid Specified IP address is reserved for IPv4 and IPv6.
TTL Expired When the number of TTL was insufficient to reach the
destination host.
Unreachable When the IP address is unreachable (no default
gateway for an IP address, not in the same subnet, or
the MAC address is unresolved).
Data
Corrupted Parameter problem message is received or data
corruption is found.
Discarded Congestion has been detected and the request cannot
be transmitted. It is only applicable for the IPv4
version.
Packet Too
Big Packet Too Big message is received in response to a
packet that the router cannot forward because the
packet is larger than the MTU of the outgoing link. It is
only applicable for the IPv6 version.
Undefined For any other errors in Ping that do not fall into one of
the above description.
