If you were to issue the CONFIG SAVE command at this point, the
settings in the “mcf24.cfg” file would be overwritten by the current settings
of the modules. Basically, the settings in the active configuration file would
be replaced by the settings of the master configuration file used during the
last reset, in this case “unit12.cfg,” in addition to any changes that were
make since the last reset or power cycle. And, in some situations, this
might be the goal.
But if the goal is to configure the modules with the settings in “mcf24.cfg,”
you would issue the CONFIG RUN command so that the management
module configures the modules with the settings in the file. If, after issuing
the CONFIG RUN command, you again entered the CONFIG SHOW
command, you would see the information in Figure 33.
