2. From the M ODEM /E THERNET screen, select the D EVICE S TATUS option by pressing <1> on the keypad.
3. From the M ODEM /E THERNET screen, select the T EST option by pressing <2> on the keypad.

The D
EVICE
S
TATUS
function displays a report that
shows the current operational parameters of the mo-
dem (dial-up/TCP/IP).
This status is displayed in a management report dia-
log which can be printed to the receipt printer or
saved to an external memory device.
The T EST function tests the terminals modem. Enter a known good telephone number, which the modem will
dial to verify its ability to access the telephone line and perform a dialing operation.
Use the text entry box to enter the phone number. Select NTER > to start the test or ANCEL > to ignore the
entry and exit the function. At the conclusion of the test, a message box will indicate success or failure of the
test.
