These values can be used along with the corresponding Optional Screens settings to control the
display of the PIN Change and Mini Statement transactions. The general approach is to set a
default behavior for a transaction type (by enabling or disabling in the Optional Screens dialog),
then configure a set of BINs that will allow the opposite behavior.
For example, to restrict the availability of the PIN Change transaction type to a set of BINs, first
use the Optional Screens dialog to turn the PIN Change transaction type OFF. Next, use the ISO
Properties dialog to add a list of BINs with the “Allow PIN Change” value. With this
configuration the terminal will restrict the display of the PIN Change transaction type to the BIN
list.
Alternatively, if you wish to block PIN Change for a set of BINs, use the Optional Screens
dialog to turn the PIN Change transaction type ON, then use the ISO Properties dialog to add a
list of BINs with the “Block PIN Change” value. With this configuration the terminal will NOT
display the PIN Change transaction type for the BIN list.
A similar approach can be applied to the Mini Statement transaction type.
