The default D
ATE
setting makes use of the Gregorian calendar. The United States and most English-speak-
ing countries make use of this calendar. The actual format is defined when the country/region is selected on
the Region tab.
Both the long and short methods of displaying the date can be defined separately by the other options on
this window. Samples are provided in their respective sections, which will update each time a change is
made.

HORT
: By default, the U.S. region short date is displayed as M/d/yy, which means the month is first,
followed by the day, and then by the last two digits of the year (i.e. 8/10/98). Multiple options can
be selected as previously described.

EPARATOR
: The only pre-defined option is the forward slash (/). It can be manually changed
using the

: There are four (4) formats available that represent the day of the week, as well as the
month day, and year (i.e. dddd, MMM, dd, yyyy or Monday, August 10, 1998). Multiple options can
be selected as previously described.

ESCRIPTION
:
The Volume Control option will adjust the speaker volume.
Press the <1> key to raise the volume, and the <2> key to lower the volume. The indicator bar will
provide a visual indication of the current volume level. Press
