Bill Mix Methods
In previous software releases, if 2 or more cassettes contained the same denomination then all
bills would be dispensed from one cassette before using the second. A new bill mix method has
been added to alternate between cassettes of like denomination for each transaction. The bill mix
methods are:
•
Minimize (the current method)
•
Minimize EW (for “Even Wear”)
This option can be configured in Management => Terminal Configuration => Cassette Setup.
Journal Data in Host Response
This software release contains a new feature to allow journal data to be sent to the host in a
transaction or configuration download response message. This feature can only be
enabled/disabled through host communications and is not configurable in Management
Functions.
Please refer to “Triton Terminal Communications Protocol And Message Format Specification”,
version TSCD5.34 or later for details on this feature.
Note: Turning on this feature will cause journal records to be audited and may not be retrieved
from Triton Connect or viewed at the terminal through the “Display Unaudited Records”
feature. Old journal records can still be viewed using “Display Last X”.
UPS Support
If a UPS is connected to the ATM, this software release has the capability to detect if the system
is on UPS power and shut down the ATM at the first idle time. The ATM will power up
immediately when main power has been restored. Please contact Triton Technical Support for
information on supported UPS devices and cables.
Report SPED Low Battery to Triton Connect
This software release will send a warning message (error code 241) to Triton Connect if the
SPED battery is low. This error will not take the terminal out of service, and the ATM will
contact Triton Connect to clear the error once the battery has been replaced.
