ALERT Radio Operation 17-1
17.1 Introduction
The ALERT standard has been used for monitoring and transmitting data in the environmental
industry for several years. ALERT stands for Automated Localized EEE Real Time. This format
was initially intended as a means to transmit data based on some change of that data. More users
are using this as means to transmit data at timed intervals as a primary means of data collection.
17.2 ALERT Menus
The following menus are used to enable and define what data will be transmitted using the
ALERT/IFLOWS radio system. Up to twenty data values can be monitored and transmitted
based on user entered alarm conditions and / or on a timed bases.
