Setting the User Account for the Data Protector Inet Service
The following procedure describes how to change the user account used
by the
Data Protector
Inet
service to access disks that belong to
remote computers. This account must have permission to access both the
local client and the remote shared disks. It must be a specific user
account, not the system account.
Windows NT
Proceed as follows to change the user account on a Windows NT Disk
Agent client:
1. On Windows NT, click the
Start
button, then
Settings
, and
Control Panel.
In the
Control Panel
window, double-click
Services
. The
Services
dialog box appears.
2. Scroll down the list of services, select
Data Protector Inet
, then
click
Stop
.
3. Click
Startup
. The
Service
dialog box appears.
4. In the
Log On As
area, select the
This Account
radio button.
5. Enter or browse for the account that has the correct permission to
access the shared disks that you want to back up.
6. Enter and confirm the password.
