7. Press the Enter key.
8. Use the cursor up or the cursor down key to select whether you
want to designate a time for the operation to end or have the
operation continue indefinitely.
> If you want to designate a time for the operation to end, select
“On” and proceed to step 9.
> If you want the operation to continue indefinitely, select “Off” and
proceed to step 11.
9. Press the Enter key.
10. Use the keypad to enter the desired time for the operation to end.
* If the time set for the operation to end is the same time as that
set for the operation to begin, the Continuous Polling Reception
operation will end 24 hours after it starts.
* If you want to reset the displayed time to “00:00”, simply press
the Stop/Clear key.
11. Press the Enter key.
12. Use the cursor up or the cursor down key to select the desired
amount of time between polling cycles.
* You can set the time interval to any amount between
0 - 150 minutes in 10 minute increments.
* If you set the time interval to “0Minutes”, the next polling cycle
will begin one minute after the previous cycle is complete.
13. Press the Enter key.
14. Enter the fax number of a transmitting party.
* You can enter the fax number using the keypad, abbreviated
numbers, one-touch keys, group dial keys or the directory.
Chain dial keys can be used as well.

15. If you want to designate the communication for this fax number
as an F-Code Based Bulletin Board Polling Reception, press the
SUBADDRESS key.
> If you pressed the SUBADDRESS key, proceed to step 16.
> If you DID NOT press the SUBADDRESS key, proceed to step 19.
16. Enter the subaddress you want to use for this F-Code Based
Reception.
* The subaddress can be up to 20 digits in length and can
include any combination of the numerals 0 - 9.
17. Press the Enter key.
18. If necessary, enter the predetermined F-Code password.
* The password can be up to 20 digits in length and can include
any combination of the numerals 0 - 9 and the symbols “
” and
“#”. You do not have to enter an F-Code password here if you
agree in advance with the transmitting party not to use one.
* If you DO NOT need to enter an F-Code password, proceed to
step 19.
19. Press the Enter key.
* If the fax number you entered has already been registered for
this operation or too many numbers were entered, an error
message will appear in the message display. In this case, press
the Enter key and the message display will return to a display
that allows you to enter the fax number again.
20. Select whether or not you want to continue entering other
transmitting fax numbers.
> If you DO want to enter more fax numbers, return to step 14.
> If you are finished entering fax numbers, proceed to step 21.
21. Press the Enter key.
The reception operation will begin automatically.
* If a time for the reception to begin was designated,
the reception operation will begin when the appointed time is
reached.
