Section 1 Basic Use of this Fax
(3) Setting the Date and Time
Set the date and the time that will appear in the message display
here. BE SURE that the date and time that you set here are correct
since they will serve as a basis for all communications that use the
timer.
* If you want to cancel the procedure part way through, press the
Reset key. The operation panel will return to the initial mode settings.
Checking the initial mode display
Check the message display to make sure that the operation
panel is in the initial mode for fax operation.
(Refer to “(2) Initial Mode”, page 1-12.)
* If the fax is not in the Fax Operation mode, press the FAX
key to light the lamp in that key.
Entering the “Program” mode
Raise both cover plates that are located over the one-touch
keys and press the REGISTER key.
The “Program” menu will appear in the message display.
Scroll through the menu with the cursor up or the cursor down
key and select “Program fax parameter”.

Press the Enter key.
Entering the date and time
Use the keypad to enter the present date and time.
* If you want to advance the cursor to the next space,
simply press the cursor right key.
* If you want to clear the currently displayed date and time
from the message display and enter it once again from the
beginning, simply press the Stop/Clear key.
Press the Enter key.
The setting of the time and date is complete.
* If you are finished making settings, press the Reset key.
The operation panel will return to the initial mode settings.
Press the Enter key. The “Program fax parameter” menu will
appear in the message display.
Scroll through the menu with the cursor up or the cursor down
key and select “Date and time”.
