Preventing the Motor from Stalling during Acceleration (Stall Prevention
during Acceleration Function)
The Stall Prevention during Acceleration function prevents the motor from stalling if a heavy load is placed on
the motor and also during sudden rapid acceleration.
If L3-01 is set to 1 (enabled) and the MxC output current exceeds the -15% level of L3-02, then the accelera-
tion rate will begin to slow down. Acceleration will stop if the output current rises above L3-02.
When L3-01 is set to 2, then the motor will accelerate to the value set in L3-02 as the MxC automatically
adjusts the rate of acceleration to prevent stalling. Here, the acceleration time setting is disregarded.

Stall Prevention
Selection During
Accel
Selects the stall prevention method used to
prevent excessive current during acceleration.
0: Disabled. - Motor accelerates at active
acceleration rate. The motor may stall if
load is too heavy or accel time is too short.
1: General Purpose - When output current
exceeds L3-02 level, acceleration stops.
Acceleration will continue when the out-
put current level falls below the L3-02
level.
2: Intelligent - The active acceleration rate is
ignored. Acceleration is completed in the
shortest amount of time without exceeding
the current value set in L3-02.
