Setting the automatic user logout
A user console can be configured so that the access to the target module is automati-
cally disconnected after a user has been inactive for a certain amount of time. This
way, the inactive user is automatically logged out of the KVM matrix system.
How to set the automatic user logout:
1. In the directory tree, click
KVM matrix systems > [Name] > User modules
.
2. Right-click the user console you want to configure. Now, click on
Configuration
on
the context menu.
3. Click on the
General
tab.
4. Use the
Auto logout (minutes)
entry to set the time (
1
to
99
minutes) for the auto-
matic logout.
5. Click
OK
to save your settings.
Automatically disconnecting the access to target modules
User consoles can be configured in a way that the active access to a target module is
automatically disconnected after the user has been inactive for a certain amount of
time.
If the OSD is opened at the moment of disconnection, it remains on the screen even
after it has been automatically disconnected.
If the OSD is closed at the moment of disconnection, the
message, which is displayed on the right-hand side, is
shown on the screen of the user console.
Off:
The connected USB input devices do not need to be reini-
tialised (recommended setting).
All devices:
All USB devices are regularly reinitialised.
Only faulty devices:
The status of USB devices is monitored. If the communica-
tion with a USB devices is interrupted, the device is reini-
tialised.
NOTE:
The value »0« disables the automatic user logout.
