• Up to 31 N-48 units can be connected in multi-drop link mode.
• The total length of the RS-485 cable should be under 1.2 km.
• Use the terminator switch to turn the N-48 terminator on or off.
The terminator switch can also be used to turn the N-410 terminator on or off.
• If using the 24 V DC power supply for the N-48 to power the N-410, a power supply with a capacity
of 80 mA (the current consumption of the N-410) + 260 mA (the current consumption of the N-48) x
n (the number of N-48 devices) is required.
Example: 5 units connected
80 mA + 260 mA x 5 = 1.44 A
Use a power supply with a capacity of 1.44 amps or more.
When supplying the power from the N-410 to the N-48, the RS-485 line between the N-410
and the N-48 can be up to 30 m long.
Also, confirm that all N-48 devices on the network have a power supply of 24 V DC +10%/
-20%.
Be sure that the RS-485 cable is not connected through a transient terminal.
• Do not run this through the same ducts as the power line.
• Do not branch the RS-485 connections as shown below.
