Controlling the multi-head mode

Direct control commands are used only when using the N-410 Series in multi-head mode.

Reading starts

Command sent

: LON

Response

: None

Reading stops

Command sent

: LOFF

Response

: None

• A command can be set to anything, up to eight characters.
• The command operates the same as reading with a trigger input terminal of the N-410 Series.
• Send a reading stop command when stopping reading.

Check the input terminal status

Check the ON/OFF status of the trigger input terminal of the N-410 Series.

Command sent

: TIMCHK

Response

: ON = Trigger input terminal ON

OFF= Trigger input terminal OFF

Other direct control commands

Multi-drop connection check

Checks whether the N-410 Series is communicating normally with a device that has a specified
ID number via RS-485.

Command sent

: SRCmm (mm = 01 to 31: ID number)

Response

: OK··· Connection OK

NC··· Error due to no connection
NG··· Error due to no connection with a slave device

Soft reset of the N-410 Series

Restores the N-410 Series to a power-on state without turning it off.

Command sent

: RESET

Response

: OK

Clearing the send buffer

Clears the send buffer of the N-410 Series device.

Command sent

: BCLR

Response

: OK

Canceling the buffer overflow status

Cancels the buffer overflow status when the buffer overflow occurs in the N-410 Series device.
