Connecting the power cable
NOTE: Toshiba recommends that you connect the server to an
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to prevent loss of data during an
unexpected shutdown or power failure.
After connecting the peripherals, connect the power cable to the server.
1 Check that the AC power switch on the back of the server is off.
2 Connect one end of the power cable to the power socket on the back of the
server.
3 Use a clamp to keep the AC cable in place.

4 Connect the other end of the cable to the UPS or an AC outlet.
DANGER: Use the supplied power cable and plug it into a grounded outlet.
Otherwise, you risk causing a fire or electric shock.
Check that the AC outlet has a capacity adequate for the power
consumption of the server. Overloading the circuitry may result in fire or
damage to the server.
Do not connect an air conditioner, copying machine, or other appliance that
has high power consumption or generates electrical noise to the same AC
outlets/circuits.
