Does the indicator glow green, indicating the power on/off switch is
enabled?
Are all the cables connected properly and securely?
Are all ISA/PCI expansion cards properly inserted into their respective slots
on the system base board, and securely fixed to the frame with clips?
Are the jumper and switch settings for the expansion cards and peripherals
correct?
Are the expansion cards and disk drives properly connected?
Are the settings for disk drives correct?
If you installed additional hard disk drives, are the format and settings
correct?
Are all the device drivers properly installed?
Are the ambient temperature and humidity within specifications?
Is the operating system properly loaded and running?
Application software problems
If an application software problem occurs, check these points:
Does the server satisfy the hardware requirements for the software?
Is the software an authorized copy?
An unauthorized software copy may not function. Refer to the manual for
the software.
If the software loads from diskette or CD-ROM, does it load properly on
another system?
If the software runs from the hard disk drive, check that the software is
properly installed. Are all the required procedures implemented and all the
necessary files installed?
Is the correct device controller installed?
Is the software correctly set up?
Is the software being used correctly?
If you are unable to resolve the problem, contact the software manufacturer’s
technical support.
