3Eh Diagnostic memory Can be parameterised as: E/-/-
Diagnostic memory: always
An error has occurred when writing or reading from the diagnostic memory.
• Acknowledge the error. If the error is still present, it means a memory module is probably
defective or an incorrect entry has been stored.
• Erase the diagnostic memory. If the error still occurs, the controller must be replaced.
– Acknowledgement option: Error can only be acknowledged after eliminating the cause.

3Fh Record invalid Can be parameterised as: E/-/-
Diagnostic memory: optional
The started record is invalid. The record data is implausible or the record type is invalid.
• Check the record parameters.

40h Last Teaching not successful Can be parameterised as: -/ W/I
Diagnostic memory: optional
Teaching of the current positioning record is not possible.
• The current positioning record must be of the type “position record”.
– For parameterisation as a warning: The warning disappears if the following Teach test is success-
ful or a switch takes place from the Teach mode (mode 1) to normal operation (mode 0).

An internal firmware error has been detected.
• Contact Festo Service.
– Acknowledgement option: Error can only be acknowledged after eliminating the cause.

Diagnostic memory: optional
There is no longer a connection to the FCT, e.g. the cable was disconnected.
• Check the connection and perform a reset if necessary.
– For parameterisation as a warning: The warning disappears if the connection to the FCT is
re-established.
