The show logging Privileged EXEC mode command displays the state of logging and the syslog messages
stored in the internal buffer.

Syntax

show logging

Parameters

This command has no arguments or keywords.

Default Configuration

This command has no default configuration.

There are no user guidelines for this command.

Example

The following example displays the state of logging and the syslog messages stored in the internal buffer

console# show logging

Logging is enabled.

Console Logging: Level info. Console Messages: 223 Dropped.

Buffer Logging: Level info. Buffer Messages: 20 Logged, 6 Displayed, 20 Max.

File Logging: Level error. File Messages: 27 Logged, 1089 Dropped.

SysLog server 192.168.1.101 Port: 514. Logging: info. Messages: 216 Dropped.

3 messages were not logged.
