5-10 Allocating a Volume on a Host from a List of Allocated
Volumes
In the List Allocated LDEVs - Storage Pool subwindow, you can allocate volumes on a host from a list of
volumes allocated on that host. The allocation destination of the volume can be on the same or different host.
When an allocated volume is allocated to a host, more than one data path (consisting of an HBA WWN,
storage subsystem port, and storage subsystem volume) is specified. If multiple data paths are set for a
volume, the volume is shared by multiple hosts, such that if an error occurs in the data path, the volume can
still be used from another data path.
