Software Overview
4.1 The PETracer Software
The PETracer™ software administers Analyzer platforms and handles all CATC Trace
analysis and display. The core software is thus the same for all of Teledyne LeCroy's
PCI Express products.
The software runs on a Windows
®
based host machine that is attached to the Analyzer via
a USB 2.0 connection (USB 1.0 is also supported). PETracer software can be used without
the Analyzer as a CATC Trace viewer for viewing, analyzing and printing traces.
The PETracer software operates on systems using Windows 8 (x86 and x64), Windows
Server 2012 (x64), Windows 7 (x86 and x64), Windows Server 2008R2 (x64) and Windows
XP (x86). The latest Service Pack available for the Windows OS in use is required. It is
recommended that you use one of the supported 64‐bit Windows versions listed above as
they allow using more RAM than the 32‐bit ones.
