History Function
Using a history function, the previously entered command can be easily re-executed
or the previously entered command can be partially changed for re-execution.Figure
3-13 gives an example of the history function.

key; then, you can execute the same command again only by pressing the return key.

You can call up recently entered commands by pressing

key, and edit the command string
effectively with Backward arrow

key and the Delete key.
In this example, (ping 192.168.0.1 numeric count 1) is displayed when you press the

key one time.
Then, you can quickly modify the last part of the command string from 1 to 2 with a combination of the
backward arrow key and the Delete key.
